MY PROCESS

What to Expect

I. Discovery

Before we begin, I will ask you to take a little time to answer some in-depth questions via a Discovery Form. Alternatively, we can schedule a Complimentary Discovery Call and cover those details over a short conversation. During this call, we will discuss the location of your session, curate specific wardrobe for you and your family. We will collaborate by building and sharing a vision board for your session (optional). Once all of the details are finalized we can discuss any services you may want to book, to make you look and feel your best on session day. Many of my clients book a facial, as well as session day hair, & makeup. (so worth it!) Finally, we will discuss ways to make your session memorable & relaxed, then finalize your session date & time.

once we finalize the date and time with your commission fee, you are officially on my schedule.

All of my clients are free to text or call me anytime regarding their session. I can help with location changes, wardrobe decisions, and address any last-minute concerns such as skin blemishes, weather changes, or additional specific details for your session. You will also receive an investment guide to help with ideas for wall galleries, albums, matted prints, or gifts for family & friends. It’s an inspirational guide with some investment price points for reference. From here, we can decide what printed art we are curating the session for & discuss the best secure storage for digital images, as well as professional archival options.

II. Session Day

On session day, you'll be greeted with a warm smile & we will start your session. Should you choose, the day will begin with professional hair & makeup on-site or in your home. I always hope that those I photograph feel pampered, ensuring you look & feel your absolute best. Throughout the session, I will support & guide you with poses, and prompts for candid shots, and make sure you take mini water breaks! I have learned how to empower my clients to feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

We will be playful and creative, making your experience enjoyable and allowing your true spirit to shine through.

Once I know we have what I need for your final collection, I will let you know when we have all that we need! There is no time limit, but I also ensure to respect any timeline you have. Usually sessions are anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the type of session, number of those being photographed, and the ages of any little ones we are photographing.

III. Reveal Session

(This is usually in person, but can also be done virtually)

Scheduled 4-6 weeks after your session, the reveal session is an intimate & joyous experience where your final collection is revealed for the first time. As you arrive, you'll be welcomed into a cozy & inviting space, with soft music playing & a comfortable seating area to settle in to enjoy your Collection.

We'll start with a short film of your images set to music. Your collection will feature all of your best images after culling, post-production, & any specific retouching requests.

Carefully curated to showcase the essence and beauty of your session, this is the best part. You'll have the opportunity to relive the joy, laughter, and emotions of the day as each image comes to life. Together, we'll review the photographs, and I'll assist you in selecting your favorites for prints, albums, and wall art. Whether you're looking for a stunning piece to display in your home or a heartfelt gift for a loved one, I'll guide you through all of the options to ensure your selections perfectly align with your vision.
